The pathogenesis and progression of cervical cancer are related to various factors such as genetic susceptibility, environmental factors, and HPV infection. KLK6 gene is a member of the kallikrein-related peptidase family, which is involved in the physiological and pathological processes of various tissues and organs and has been found to be highly expressed in several types of cancer. However, the expression and clinical significance of KLK6 in cervical cancer remains unknown. Objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate the expression and clinical significance of KLK6 gene in cervical cancer. s: We will collect 80 cervical cancer tissue samples and paired adjacent normal tissues from patients who were diagnosed with cervical cancer and underwent surgical resection at our hospital. The expression levels of KLK6 mRNA and protein will be detected by quantitative real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry, respectively. We will also analyze the relationship between KLK6 expression and clinicopathological parameters such as age, tumor stage, lymph node metastasis, HPV infection, and survival status of patients. Expected Results: We expect to find that KLK6 expression is significantly upregulated in cervical cancer tissues compared with adjacent normal tissues. Furthermore, we anticipate that KLK6 overexpression is associated with advanced tumor stage, lymph node metastasis, HPV infection, and poor prognosis. Conclusion: Our study will provide evidence for the potential role of KLK6 in cervical cancer and may contribute to the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for this disease.
